I believe in love, I believe in love, I believe in love, I believe in love
With a reputation that hasn’t faded, and an iconic score that changed pop culture forever, Hair is as relevant today as when it radicalized a generation in 1968. This revolutionary rock musical celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “Hair,” “I Got Life” and “Let The Sunshine In.”
Hair follows Claude, his best friend Berger, and their friends as they navigate their young lives, loves, and the sexual revolution, all while rebelling against the war, their parents, and society at large. Hair explores themes of identity, free love, community, global responsibility, and peace and reminds us that history is never far away
1969 Tony Nominated for Best Musical, 2009 nominated for 7 Tony Awards and winner of Best Revival of a Musical, the Obie Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, and New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award.
