The lights will indeed be bright on September 27 at Visual Arts Collective in Garden City. This is when Alley Repertory Theater and the songs of Broadway clash with Alley Palooza – Broadway Smackdown.
And yes, this will be the funnest fundraiser you’ll ever attend.
Featuring songs performed from past Alley Rep musicals, Broadway favorites, and productions yet to come. This unforgettable night will have cocktails, a silent auction full of juicy items to win, and costumes and prop treasures from past Alley Rep shows for sale. Plus, if you are really feeling fancy, wearing costumes from your favorite Broadway show is welcome.
Two teams of Alley Rep’s best vocalists will battle it out at this Alley Rep fundraiser. The best part? It will be you, the audience, who decides who will be the Alley Palooza Champs in this first ever live singer smackdown at Alley Repertory Theater.
Alley Repertory Theater: Music, musicals, & extravaganzas
Since arriving on the scene in 2008, Alley Rep has displayed a love of music, musicals, and extravaganzas. Early on, this was done by including aspects of music in such shows as The Farnsworth Invention by Aaron Sorkin and Alley Underground’s production of Levi Middlebrooks: Back to Boyzee.
Alley Repertory Theater had its first foray into a true musical with the 2013 production of The Rocky Horror Show. And starting in 2015, extravaganzas, musicals, and shows like Indecent, with its Klezmer style music, have appeared in at least one slot during Alley Rep’s seasons.

Meet the performers and emcees for Alley Palooza ’24
Alley Palooza ’24 will be hosted by the magnificent Joe Golden and the fabulous Veronica Von Tobel! Two dear friends of Alley Rep (who have also appeared on stage or behind the scenes in numerous Alley Rep productions).
The vocalists for the evening you’ll know doubt recognize from past Alley Rep shows (and fabulous work around the Treasure Valley). These performers will be split into two teams, led by the wonderful emcees.
